Vocal Audition Submissions Now Open
AuthenticOpera Co. invites applications from singers for upcoming projects and performances. We welcome submissions from emerging artists and singers seeking additional performance experience, as well as those actively building their professional careers.

A fresh, contemporary interpretation inspired by Bizet’s Carmen and the legacy of Carmen Jones, bringing this iconic story into a modern cultural context.
Her Voice, Her Story
A Women’s History Month concert celebrating women through music, storytelling, and performance.
Authentic Artists Recital Series
An intimate recital series showcasing individual artists and creating opportunities for singers to perform, develop their artistry, and connect with audiences.
Miss Queenie’s Juke Joint
A lively celebration of music, storytelling, and the strength and resilience of Black women.
Tangled Roots: An Opera in One Act
AuthenticOpera Co.’s original one-act opera returns following its 2026 premiere in Kalamazoo. Inspired by the Federal Writers’ Project narratives, Tangled Roots brings history, memory, and music together on the operatic stage.
Dates and additional programming will be announced throughout the season.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold or be currently pursuing a music degree. All singers are welcome to apply.
